Business Continuity Management

As corporate members of the Business Continuity Institute, CSAFE is well placed to draw up the experiences, latest research and case studies to help a business in meeting it’s obligations to it’s stakeholders through Business Continuity Planning.

Business Continuity Management (BCM) is a holistic process that identifies potential threats to an Organisation and the impacts to Business operations that those threats, if realised, might cause. It provides a framework for building organisational resilience with the capability for an effective response that safeguards the interest of stakeholders, reputation, brand and value-creating activities.

As effective BCM practitioners, we are able to demonstrate sound analytical skills, solid programme and project management skills, effective communication and influencing skills.
From our experience BCM must be recognised by senior management as a business discipline owned by the business, co-ordinated and facilitated centrally. BCM must always start at the top, for the essential that BCM is about what’s important and time-sensitive.

In short, the vulnerabilities in any organisation can be considered to fall into 7 key areas: reputation, supply chain, information and communication, sites and facilities, people, finance and customers.
By assisting you and supporting your organisation in managing each of these areas, you will be sure to enable a clear BCP to help guide you into the future.
